Finally, finally, an alternative to the ubiquitous boat shoe look that has taken the men’s footwear industry by storm. Spotted these at The Limited Hype and had to revert back to a bloggy-esque item drop solely for a breath of fresh air into the aging classic. F-Troupe’s Buzzsaw boat shoe (if we can even call it that) switches it up simply by altering the sole,  maintaining the iconic boat shoe upper, and a crisp suede upper. Pick them up at The Opening Ceremony for $195. Worth it.

Today we take a look at Sperry’s topsider collaborative effort with Band of Outsiders. Having done a number of co-produced projects together, and each one getting better than the last, the Spring and Summer 2010 collection is shaping up to be quite the addition. While maintaining the classic topsider profile, each Sperry-B.o.O  look is a clean, fresh take on the ever-popular boat shoe form. Materials range, but each model is topped with a suede upper, leather lacing, and crisp aluminum eyelets on the traditional topsiders.
