Details on New Sage Francis Album

Lyrical master Sage Francis is dropping his new album, Li(f)e, on May 11. This album is sure to be different than his previous efforts since he has enlisted a lot of help – not from the hip-hop realms, but indie rock.

For the album, Francis gathered members bands such as DeVotchka, Death Cab for Cutie, Sparklehorse, and many more. He had them write the music and he handled all the lyrical details. Top that off with the fact the entire album contains an underlying theme of Francis’ critique on organized religion and we are sure to have a monstrous must-have album.

This is Francis’ first album since Human the Death Dance in 2007.
