Phoenix “Sad-Eyed Lady of the Low Lands” (Bob Dylan Cover)
Google strike me down, but here I sit, posting a Bob Dylan cover. I’m not much of a Dylan fan (Brad can attest to that). However, this acoustic cover by Phoenix (just frontman Thomas Mars’) of the classic of Dylan’s Sad-Eyed Lady of the Low Lands soothes the soul.
The cover was recorded during a brief show done at musikexpress in Germany where Phoenix also performed a few other favorites in-studio for the site. Enjoy.

As a certified Dylanologist I acknowledge this song is one of the better Dylan covers I ever done heard. It’s not as good as the original though….I mean we are talking Dylan here
I’m somewhat of a Dylanologist myself, and I’ll say that this cover is good because he sounds exactly like what I think Dylan envisioned himself sounding like. Which is why EVERYONE does Dylan better than Dylan ever could.
Just sayin’..

Lil Wayne is doing Dylan’s part in We Are The World. Is Weezy gonna do Dylan better than Dylan?
Why’d you even pose this question. Of course he will.
