Headphone Highlights : WeSC, Paul Smith, and Nixon

If you’re reading this with cheap musty white headphones plugged in, or use cheap ear-buds as a means for enjoying music you’re doing yourself a huge disservice. Does that mean you have to go out and dump 400 bucks on a pair? No. Does it mean you should invest in a solid pair so you can hear your music the way the artist meant it to be heard? Yes. So, grab any pair of these and you’ll be doing yourself a favor in terms of form and function.

1. WeSC Headphones x Norra Norr

Inspired by Stockholm based industrial design firm Norra Norr, this line of WeSC headphones bolster outstanding design and sound. Featuring a fold-up design, and turntable-esque looks, any and all pairs would be well worth investing the unknown amount of cash they’re going to cost.

2. Paul Smith x Audio-Technica ATH-A50

Design connoisseur Paul Smith joins forces with headphone honchos at Audio-Technica to create these hella-tight gold aluminum plated ATH-A50′s. The signature edition feature Paul Smith’s signature ingrained within the aluminum, and come with a Paul Smith fabric protective case. Available directly through Paul Smith for 140 pounds, which in American is short for 230′ish.

3. Nixon Headphones

Granted, some of the colorways scream hipster, they offer premier leather stitching and padding, and modest sound quality (on cheaper pairs), Nixon has managed to broaden their spectrum with a healthy line of headphones. Prices range from $40-200 and offer up some great options for both aesthetics and sound.
