Flashback Tribute: Bob Dylan – ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’

There are various reasons why someone could do a flashback tribute to Bob Dylan. One of the greatest thinkers, one of the greatest songwriters, one of the greatest performers, the list could go on and on.

Even if one isn’t a Dylan fan, I think we can all come to terms that the man redefined music all together, and ushered in this whole new creativity wave.

The reason I bring up the song ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues,’ is simple. I’ve always thought of it as the first rap song, or at least the first popular rap song.

Rapid delivery is present, along with rhyming three-beat lines.

Not only is this song amazing, but the music video is one of the greatest of all time too.
